Do you judge yourself normally? If you do, would you say that you show towards yourself self-compassion or are you rather hard ? with yourself ? If this is the second case, you may consider that doing so reduce your confidence, potentially create fear that will impact negatively your level of performance. Judging yourself s is fine as long as your level of expectations is balanced and realistic. If it is not, it does not help at all ! Before competing, in the sport area or at the office, set realistic expectations for your performance. Assess it in a positive way, write down what you did well and how you can use even more often the skills that allowed you to do the right things. Expectations, if not balanced, will take your confidence away and may prevent you to win !
