In businesses or sports, building a pro-active confidence is often what separate success from failure. In sport for instance, many athletes starts to feel confident when things go their way, such as a very good start of the game, a mistake from the opponent etc. But the reality is that those athletes cannot fully rely on positive circumstances helping them to feel confident or not. Feeling confident whatever the circumstances are is a decisive advantage for them. Athletes should therefore develop over time particular technics to ‘build’ sustainable confidence such as visualisation, mindfulness, and others that suit their needs and work for them.
